This is how it is

After listening to them attempt to convince us with their go-go plans of how gee-whizz wonderful a mega-sports complex would be in Wellington Hills Park, I get the sense, this is how they view the residents of Southern Snohomish County, near Woodinville … we're just parcels of ground.

Currently this is what it looks like and it's also how the residents of the greater Woodinville area view Wellington Hills Park.

The masterminds of the proposed mega-sports complex want two parking lots for over 700 cars bulldozed into the Green Space of Wellington Hills Park.

Notice that dense grove of trees seen in the right lower quadrant of the photo? If their plan is approved, the trees are gone, history, firewood, kaput.

After the tree are removed the area would be dug out, perhaps as much as 15 to 20 feet in depth and they would build seven sports fields, four of which are covered with artificial turf … and there would be stadium lights.

Like the song says, "They paved paradise to put up a parking lot."

Please, call the five members of the Snohomish County Council and tell them, "No, the proposed Wellington Hills Park sports complex is a bad plan."
